How to control my first V8?
#45
4.10's
used trick flow heads
TFS 2 cam
SN95 MAF
70mm TB
LT's - back exhaust
100 shot
FLSFC's
rear control arms
4 wheel disc conversion
and then go wherever you want from there...
most of this stuff can be bought used to save you some $$$

So do I, and I have spanked more than a fair share of them at the track cause they are not set up for 1/4 and usually it shows right off the line, I think bob is more so a track/ bracket racer which is why his thinking is the way it is.....we just put a set of 3.55's in a buddies turbo car and at the end with a 25.7 tire with a c-4 he's out of steam, so it all depends on the combo, tire , gearing and usable rpm of the motor, for 1/4 mile racing that is all important....now I haven't read back to see what the op wants / is trying to do so to each his own

NOT a 800 HP big block, there is actually a little bit of difference in the 2 believe it or not
and on a NON turbo/blower stockish 5.0 (like he said his future looked towards) thats what works best. at least for me it has in the 6 stangs ive owned over the last 25 years
and FYI..tell your friends to STOP using NITTOS, thats probably the problem and their 800hp 12 second cars might show some times that looked like they came from a man driving...not my 12 yr old daughter.
or maybe they need to learn to drive.....cuz its pretty elementary math like you showed me....
low ET = spinning tires
better ET = hooking tires
optimum ratio>HP with low ratio
HP<optimum leverage
choads=nitto usage
did i miss anything ?
