i baught an 89 mustang about 3 years ago and just ggot finished a majro rebuild of the top end. the only thing i dont understand to well now is getting the firing order right. i got a hayns manual and it doesnt specify the order for an 89 but my main issue is idk if its the HO or not... and after i figure tat out whats the firing order?

firing order is 302 (1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8

the late HO's will have this order. 302 HO engines have the same firing order as the 351W (1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8

Buy but whitch one would mine be. Its an 89 lx

got to Mustang registery put your vin in and it will tell you a build sheet and that will give you information which engine you have.
