Default My 5.0

Well i have been motivated more than ever by some of you guys and your build threads. Though I wont be building nearly at the speed of some of you, as My wife is limiting my spending, I figured Id get it going.

So far the car mechanically is pretty much stock. I put in a Spec clutch when mine went out, and removed the emissions system, smog pump, cats etc. (Gotta love NV / AZ) any ways here's my stang, sorry if it bores you.

^^^^ This is as she was when I bought her for $2000. All stock, lots of miles, damage to the right front fender and headlight.

^^^^ First thing I had to do was get rid of those ugly GT tail lights.

^^^^ Started to get rid of the ugly and horrible paint that the kid put on, its a daily driver so its rattle can primer for now.

^^^^ Replaced the damaged fender.

^^^^ I have always preferred the LX over the GT, got lucky and found an LX Convertible in the local yard, so it was pillaged to convert mine.

^^^^ This is as she sits right now, a little dusty after sitting in the garage for 3 months replacing the clutch, removing emissions, and fixing a cooling problem. But with the help of these forums, she is back on the road and running strong.

More to come!

Why did you get 4eye rear tail lights? Should have went with 87+ lx tail lights... good luck with it though.

I haven't posted in a while, but I have made some progress. A co worker of mine decided to move back to Tennessee, and decided not to take his project with him. Knowing my love for the mustangs, he gave me his 91 LX. It was originally a 4 banger, but was given to me with no motor, exhaust, tranny or interior. So I made it a parts car and did a lot of swapping to get mine closer to my goals.

The items I was able to swap. Doors, fenders, hood, rear bumper, tail lights, head lights, and the rest of the LX molding. I also swapped the wheels, as he had brand new tires, and I was never a fan of the stock turbine looking wheels.

Current pics taken today

Also my father in law found me a new block, time to start building me a new motor!
