possible quarter mile time??
ok im gunna go up to Norwallk in Ohio in a couple of weeks and im curious to see wat u guys think i should see. ok i have a 86 5.0 5-speed with Hurst short throw shifter. flow master exhaust, cold air intake and 3.73 gears. Now last year with this set up i was able to hit 15.00. over winter i have done; A/C delete, off road h-pipe cat delete exhaust, smaller pulleys, took out all emission crap, high-flow water pump, 180 deg thermostat (i know those 2 wont do anything but still lol). New 9mm plug wires and just stoke OEM distributor. Do you guys think ill be able to hit 14.5? now i know allot of that stuff doesn't make a difference but still im hopeful lol

It might run the 14.50, but if you really want to get those ETs down, you'll need to upgrade the tires & suspension. That's where the big gains are (other than adding big power) because every tenth you drop at the 60-foot clocks adds up to around 2-tenths at the quarter mile.

My car is a similar setup to yours, but last year before I did some upgrades and had a junk rear end with a burned out posi and 3.08 gears and I hit a 14.81. I have not ran yet with my new upgrades and a 3.55 ratio with a working posi. I would say a 14.5 is possible for sure, I am looking forward to seeing what mine will do.

should be in mid 14's....i went 14.6 @ 97mph with 2.73's and crappy street tires...trick flow intake manifold, 70mm throttle body, cold air intake, aluminum driveshaft....i have since added 9mm plug wires, electric fan, walbro 255, bbk adjustable fpr, hoping for low 14's this year! maybe high 13's with 3.73's and some ET streets.
