I got a buddy that has a set of 3.55s and 3.73 gears that he will let me have but, they came out of an 03 Cobra with IRS. He claimed they were the same but, idk???

I thought about building a rear end to go in the car then swaping them out one day but, it is tempting just to get the gears and try them since they both have like 100 miles on them and they are free.

According to late model restrorations web sight they are all the same.

They are 8.8" gears so i don't know why they won't fit.......

Yep, i went and looked at the box today. It said they were for an 8.8 rear-end differential so I assume they will work.

Bad news is, he doesn't have the 3.73s. He replaced the 3.55s with 3.73s. Reason being he had the 3.73 box.

I really don't know if it is worth jumping from a 3.27 gear is to a 3.55. I may just buy a set of 3.73s. The only reason I want to change is because it will lug a bit too much in fifth gear.
