Trick Flow stage 2 cam question>???
Hey everyone,
I recently pulled my stock 5.0 and purchased a gt40x crate motor from ford racing. Has the e303 cam already in it. I was wondering if anyone has installed a TF Stage 2 cam on a set of the GT40x heads with 1.7rr. ??? apparently the ford claims this motor makes 340hp at the flywheel on a carb setup. Im running 36lb injectors, typhoon upper/lower, 75mm TB and Spacer with vortech v3 supercharger (6psi), everything is together however I have not dropped the motor in my car yet because im wanting a more aggresive cam like the TF Stage 2. also im upgrading to a the Vortech V3 HO kit (10psi) would the TF stage 2 be a good cam choice for my set up? im trying to achive around 450hp at the wheels. (reason for upgrading to V3 HO kit) ....
any ideas? i know the e303 is better than stock cam and its already installed in this new crate motor. also how much power gains could i expect to see over the e303. Im open to all suggestions besides swapping my heads. I already have the crate motor so im trying to make the best power i can out of what i already have. ( i know TF heads , AFRs are better than GT40X heads.)

Yes with the 1.7s you will be equating the tfs stg 3 lifts with less duration, and unless you have aftermarket pistons with 6cc reliefs or greater then you will be touching mostlikely, just get off the 1.7 kick and use 1.6`s and roll on!
I ran the stg 2 for 3yrs and loved it with 150 shot of nitrous! I believe it is a 112 lob sep 224/232 dur .542/.563 lift and with those heads you are at the max flow lift anyway bigger isnt always better thats twice in 4 post!
