Default New to Forum New To Mustangs

Hi, I am new here and have a question. I am looking to trade my old car (71 Buick Skylark) for a Mustang. A few friends have Mustangs and I now have the bug. I received an offer that interests me and wanted to know if this is a good car. Here is his post to me:

I have a 95 mustang cobra svt 5.0 (last year before the 4.6) with 118k car has bassani headers, bassani offroad hpipe, flowmaster 44s, allum drove shaft, rebuilt tranny with 373 gears, drilled n slotted rotors, h&r springs, tockicko shocks, steeda short shifter, mach1 wheels, oil changed every 3000 miles with mobil 1 full synthetic i have receipts to all work done to the car.

Any suggestions? Thoughts?

Thanks

(Sorry I can't find the edit button) I have another wanting to trade for a 1993 Mustang GT 5 Spd Stock equipment with 73k miles. It seems the first (1995) is a better deal via Kelly Blue Book but that is paper I want to know from the people who love them not just write about them.

You'll get mixed reviews being the 93 is a fox and the 95 is an sn95 model. My vote would be for the cobra, but my opinion is biased due to my owning of a 95 lol. Its really up to you, both of them sport the 5.0 and both are good cars

The SN cobra will most likely net you more value later if it were all original I dont like cobras but in that case i might take it!

99% of cobra owners think they are in a different class than us regular mustang owners lmfao!! for the love of god dont call a cobra a mustang!

SN-95 cars are heavier than FOX body cars, they won't be quite as quick.....
I'd take that FOX body but thats just my own deal........

They are about 150 pounds heavier but you'll get 5 lug wheels. Better aerodynamics and the cobra body kit is fairly nice. Plus If your looking to modify either car the Cobra comes with a helthy mod list already.

I'm a foxbody guy but I say take the cobra just because its a better deal an if u ever decide you want a fox you won't have a problem selling or trading for one.....if its a true cobra that's not ragged

kbb is useless when it comes to putting a number on a mustang......demand/desire drives the price on these older mustangs
