Right now it makes 225HP at the flywheel. With the intake added, 240HP flywheel. Both are very generous numbers. You have a stock engine with a cold air intake, so basically you have stock power levels.

Yep your not making a ton of power. But I bet you could still crack low to mid 14 all day on a 5 speed car.

Run it at a 1/4 drag strip then let me know the mph and I can tell you real close what the HP is.....
I'm thinking it's about225HP right now.

Hey guys i let my dad borrow my 91 last night he has owned more mustangs then I can shake a stick at and he current mustang is being worked on so he wanted to have fun and drive mine like he stole it I only gone to 7k then shifted before I got my monster tach in. My dad thinks I have a aftermarket block he launched it twice shifting at 6,500-7,000rpms threw the gears and he's telling me a stock block would have blown doing what he was doing so my new question is how do I tell if my block is oem or aftermarket?

^^^I seriously doubt you have an aftermarket block, look on the underside of the block towards the back on either ear, I bet it is a e7te stamping in the block = stock stock block + stock cam = 6500 shifting a waste, rarely are they making power past 5500-5800 irregardless of what the azzometer feels. and a few rpm pulls up to those ranges will not blow it, I run my 347 up to 6800....done it tons, keeping a stock block in or around 6500 and it will live for a good while

He just wanted to go fast that day I guess he wasn't trying to break anything even thou he could have. When I was younger I was 10 times worse then him with a 87 4cyl foxbody I used as a farm vehicle I was young and dumb when we got the car no rust nothing wrong with it under 60,000 miles and I destroyed it to we're you couldn't take a part off it that wasn't destroyed. And I've learned over the years and I take care of my cars now.

I have msd and I have have seen 6,700rpms I didn't install the msd so I have no clue what it's set to I never messed with the dials on the side of the box. I know my dad wouldn't lie to me so I know he was telling the truth. I only went past 6k once i don't like going past 6k cause I haven't been into the motor so I keep it on the safe side.
