Where to start??
Hey All,
I apologize I this is posted in the wrong section. If it is please let me know and I'll make sure it doesn't happen again. Recently, I've come into the possession of a '91 GT that is essentially a rolling chassis. The body is in great shape but this thing was heavily modified by the previous owner and just about every fuel line, brake line on down to the wire harness has been tampered with.
My plans for the car right now are to return most of the components back to stock with the exception of what is needed to drop a 347 from ford strokers into it as well as and a beefed up T-5. I'm not worried about taking it to the track, I'd just like to hand a Camaro it's a** here and there while cruising it on the weekends.
I was going to take the wire harness off of my '88 and transplant it to get started buy after some research it looks like the fuel relay under the drivers seat as well as the air bags are going to be a problem. At this point I guess I am back to square one. I know there are few different harnesses within the car and this is where I'm kind of scratching my head. I know I need to go through all wiring in the entire car and see what I have but I have no idea what else I am messing with, with the exception of the harness running from the passenger side kick panel to the engine bay. Does anyone know where I can find a complete wire harness diagram kind of like ProjectResto put up, except for the entire car? Any and all ideas of where to start are appreciated. Thanks guys.
