$600 budget maint&reseal need help
85 GT 5 speed
so, what should i spend the money on?
things i need
-reseal kit -minus headgasket
-full fluid change with royal purple engine/ tranny/diff
i cant imagine that costing the whole budget, so.. what should i spend the rest of the money on? installed bbk under drive pulleys and i love it, so help me please!

Depending on your level of mechanical ability, dropping some cash on a set of 3.73 gears in the rear is a great way to get more torque to the ground.
Im gussing you have a 2.73 or 3.08 in it now . If you are able to do the work your self you should be able to get a set of gears and full install kit for a good price.

gears huh? its the 86 with the 8.8
right now on a good day i can get about 22-23mpg, its got some tall gears in it now.. would my millage drop at all?
also, what downsides are there to removing the cats? other then that whole... ya know.. environment thing

You'll lose some minuscule mileage, if at all, with a gear swap. I personally don't run cats in mine. Less restriction the air has to go through and such. I'd say take them off unless they test for emissions.
