Smile engine combo sound good?

ok guys tell me what you think, got a 302 going to bore it to a 306, stock crank and rods. going with a x-303 cam (friend has one barley used for cheap) trick flow twisted wedged heads. 185's with 65cc. with this trick flow flat top pistions. i need to do the adjustable pushrod for the rods and rockers. 24lb injectors, cobra upper and lower intake with a 1/2in spacer. not sure about throttle body yet. 65 70?? sooo with that said does that sound like a good set up for a cheaper build considering im in college lol.

lol Cheaper than my build and I'm in college also. Sure you want to just do a 306 and not try to build a 331 or 347? Those heads will be wasted on a 306.

well with the 302 i got from my buddy he gave me the crank and rods, if i remember right if you go more than a 306 u have to get different ones. thats why i want to stay with the 306. maybe someday ill go bigger but for right now thats what im going for lol

Sounds good. I think I'd go with a gt40 intake though. Never really been a fan of the cobra. It should sound good with the x303

See my sig. I'm in college also

I would have to agree in bumping the displacement up a bit. I'd go at least a 331. I'd choose the 70mm throttle body as well, although I'm not sure as what the bore opening is on the Cobra intake

Wait a minute college boy............
The adjustable pushrods are for measuring purposes only and you only need to buy one to figure out what length of pushrod you need to get.
IMO, the whole effort is wasted with the letter cam, get something a little more modern like trick-flow stage 1......

I built mine in college too. Correct me if I'm wrong but, wouldn't you think it'd be just as expensive/cheaper to go to 331 than to bore?

Same $$, more displacement.
