Default 3.73s to 3.55s in the 1/4...

Just out of curiosity.... does anyone have an actual 1/4 mile comparison of either going from 3.55s to 3.73s or the other way around?

Once the 93 is back on the road again I will again be driving it 120 miles a day, every day m-f and prefer the lower rpm at cruise but I don't want to loose much time off my 1/4 either..I have 3.73's right now but am thinking about swapping out for 3.55s when I do my rear disc swap. A buddy of mine is wanting some 3.73's for his auto vert and I am going to get his stock rear and I have a TC rear also already...so I get the better end of the deal.

Honestly I'd just get a little taller tire to make it simulate 3.55's for your daily use and from your sig picture you have dedicated track wheels and tires so you can get the best of both worlds, and not loose any drag strip performance.

As for your buddy with the auto car I'd say get 3.90's or 4.10's unless he's hard set on the 3.73's

4.10's would have been great for my buddy but both he and I are on very tight budgets lol. The deal is already done though. We just installed the rear in his car Saturday evening. Yea, I have a set of slicks mounted and sitting in the on top of my fridge in the garage for the days it gets to go scream down the quarter... Going from a 26 to a 28" tire would have helped but I don't have the money for another set of slicks when I will only truly use them once or twice a year lol. I only paid $50 for those slicks with some good life left in them....

As much as I hate to admit it FB mustang pages have taken up some of my time on the net....I hate FB sometimes... being broke as a joke right now and the car in pieces because of last fall's TB screw problem (sucking into #4 cyl) I have had very little progress/fun with the 93...plans plans plans lol

I am almost done with school and about to start work full time at one of the areas busiest collision shops and can't wait for the paycheck! lol CARPARTS!!!!
