Meanwhile 302 build. what do you guys think
kkk i have an 88 302,5speed, bbk smog legal headers and rest is all stock. and mean while i save up real money for my 302Dart,331stroker, supercharger... i will be freshin my stock 302 up a bit. the plan is this. put in some gt40 iron heads, gt40,intake, e303cam, sct 4bank eliminator chip, and some 355 gears. im planning on running this for about a yr and half while i save up to really build the engine i want... how does this lowbudget quick setup i plan on doing sound? yes? no? any ideas? go for it more than welcome looking for expertise advice as i myself am pretty much a novice to all this .. but learning as im going along. thanks for all your responds and your time.

why waste extra money on crappy heads. If you are going to put a dart block in it and do a real build just save what you would be wasting on the gt40 heads and e cam... gears yes and just wait on the chip till you do everything else. with a 363 or any stroker i planned on building I would just ssave to drop a full victor top end on it or jr. most likely. but why waste that extra money when its just going to rob the stroker from making power

I'm in the same boat as you OP. What I tried to do was go big on the Stuff I bolted to my stock block so when I step up to the 363 Dart in a year or two all I'll have to do is just swap heads, intake, etc. It might not be perfect but I'll bet the car runs 10s the way it sit's now and when I step up to the stroker and the bigger No2 shot down the line it should be close to 9s. You can always buy used GT40 heads if thats what you have your heart set on and just sell them for what you paid for them also. Gears are a must so you can't go wrong there.

great advice.... but what ever i put on this stock block right now stays on it.. my dart block will be whole total different story that one will be built slowly as i go.. thats why i was worry about my stock motor right now .. how can i make it a bit faster for now.. thats why i thought on the heads, intake, cam, and chip
