Default Opinion on new buy

Hey guys, so i bought my first mustang the other day. Its a 1988 5.0L 302 but the thing is, before i bought it i was told the engine was swapped out an old ford truck witch i didnt mind to much, he had a bunch of **** on it like eldebrock valve covers, intake, carb, along with a stage 3 cobra clutch witch are all nice things dont get me rong the engine runs great and only has 85k kms on it witch is nice but the problem is they put to short of a clutch cable on it the gas pedal is stiff as hell the front and rear control arm bushings need to be replaced it needs a sway bar kit, mani needs to be welded to the exhaust ,a rust hole in the back quarter pannel about the size of my fist on both sides (easy fix) small hole in the floor about the size of your pinky and a axle seal needs to be all fixed so mainly body work, now i checked the vin number and it looks like it use to be a 4 cylinder till he swapped it for the 302 now of coarse he changed all the suspension all around to acomedate that but he started sub frame for the v8 but only did one side. with that all said my main question is if you think i did alright i spent $2000 on it without any fixes to it yet just wanna know the opinion of others to get the jist of what im getting myself into ill attach some pictures of the car under the post so you can see what im talking about thanks again for the feed back

I would say it's not to bad of a deal for 2k. I would be worried about that engine bending the frame though. I would look at getting some engine supports going from the shock towers just to be safe. Should be able to pick them up from American Muscle.

I'd say you paid a little too much for it. I paid $1400 for mine with no rust to be found yet, and if its actually a truck engine, that most likely means its a non HO
