There have been a couple of NHRA Super /Stock type cars run well into the 10's on these heads.
You need to remember that these are all out race cars but they are all motor N/A.....

Thanks for the info guys, I never knew that those times could be had with E7's. So I should be in the low 11's …… lol

Seriously if my car knocks off low 12's I'd be more than happy. For the 2 or 3 times I go to the track a year, it's not that important right now. For what it is, I'm not complaining at all. I just wanted to see what other cars with E7's are running, NA on a 302/306 street car.

My mission to have the worlds quickest would be complete, ok maybe just in this forum, alright maybe just in my county.

I think compression and a custom cam would be the key players, and especially weight. Whats that rule, like 100 lb = 0.1 seconds? So if you get it into the low 12's, shed some weight and add slicks and drag springs, I could see how 11's or faster would be possible.

I like this thread. It's not all about how much power you'll have

Exactly, that's kinda why I like my car so much. I paid $1500 for it 5 yrs ago. As it was it ran a best of 13.5@109 with the auto, picked up a T5 swap package off craigslist for $450, a set of Weld big and littles with 26x8 ETDrags for $300, first trip to the strip got me a 12.7@107, second (and last) time I got it down to a 12.4@108. Its been one of the most reliable cars I've ever owned.

Your right, suspension will be next. It has a 2" drop right now, But still pulled a 1.66 60ft. I'll also have to look into replacing the stock axles, I think they're on borrowed time if I keep going to the track.

Don't rely on your stock tach, have been 1.48 60' on stock axles(splines were twisted when i pulled them) and good luck with your goal.

Yeah, I have put all my trust in my Autometer, But when I started dropping my shift points lower (towards my stock tach) I started trapping higher mph. I've only made maybe 12 passes in the car after tranny swap so still some dialing in to do. I'm not leaving the lights ***** out 5000 rpm drops, I try to leave at 3000/3500 with an "aggressive " clutch release. I'm also clutching every shift knowing this is just a T5.

1.48 60's on stock axles (GULP)

Thanks, when I get to the suspension I was going to pm you. Do you are anybody know if there are any decent aftermarket stock replacement axles? I don't want to replace the carrier if I don't have to. Remember this is just a low budget toy for me. Less money = more …… something, I forgot.
