starting when warm problem
Heres a good one someone might be able to help me with. i can start my car perfectly fine when it is cold but if i drive around and go to start it (after pumping gas) it struggles to turn over and wont start. it cranks slow almost like the motor is hard to turn over.
i got a new starter twice now thinking that it might have been heat soaked but that isnt the problem. i changed the wire from the starter silenoid to the starter and it still does the same thing. i have no idea what is going on, however the battery was relocated to the trunk so im not sure of that has something to do with it but i honestly dont think it does. i need help because pop starting it is really starting to suck!!!

i wouldnt go with that. it sounds to me like your timing is too far advanced. back it down a few degrees i bet it will start perfectly fine

Check/replace your grounds...... the main battery ground cable-to-block and make sure the block-to-frame ground strap is installed, and contact points are paint free. Grounds are very important......

i know its not the timeing because i have advanced it and retarded it to see if that would do the trick. the grounds i think are fine i know the block strap is atleast, im going to check the others today and ill get back about it. the control module i dont see being the problem, i had a acel performance one that was malfunctioning but i used other old ones and a new one and i still had this problem. but i will also try switching them again today, thanks guys.

Hello i cant remember how to start a new thread so im just going to reply to this. i have an 88 gt, i converted to carb. its got a gm hei dizzy and holly 670 street avenger. i just got a new battery, volt gauge is reading 13v all the time while running and 12v from battery when off. so the battery is fine. in the morning my car will start great (cold start) but after driving it for a lil while, when it heats up if i cut my car off to go do something and go to start it shortly after it slow starts and after a couple tries the starter will go normal crank speed and start the vehicle. i cant figure it out, it only does it when the car warms up.
