Fuel tank filler grommet installation
I have to replace the rubber grommet on the gas tank of my 1986 Mustang GT. I have the part, but I need to know if I need to put any type of sealant, etc, on the grommet and/or tank where they join to make sure the new grommet doesn't have gas leak from around it.
Also, when I stick the filler pipe in through the new grommet, do I need to put any type of sealant on the filler pipe where it meets the new grommet?
