I have a 1993 LX 5.0 and have recently installed FRP underdrive pullys on. I took my smog pump off some time ago and this is the only unit deleted from the drive line. Well, once the pullys were put on the belt was too long. I did some research and read that and 80" belt would be the correct size. Purchased an 80 and 80.5 both of which are still too long. I have since tried 4 more sizes all of which are either too long or too short. I even took a string and measured the drive line which came up to 80". But again, the 80" is way too long. Really confused cause the last time I did underdrives, which were on a 1990 GT, I used the same belt no problem. What am I doing wrong? Please, any advice would be very helpfull.

what belt sizes have you tried?
79.5? 79? 78.5?
Are you routing it correctly for the smog delete ? notice the difference in routing from the stock option to the smog delete.
