1 wire alternator. wire to batt or starter relay???
title says it all. what is the best way to wire a 140 amp powermaster alternator into an 89 lx. also do i need to plug anything onto the no.1 and no.2 terminals ??? right now I'm running 0 gauge wire (to be see) to my battery thats located in the back. i noticed that my volts alter with RPM's. would i be better off and have a constant 13-14 volt reading while getting a good batt charge if i wired it to the started relay???

Havent installed mine yet, but I bought a firewall terminal for mine and used it as an interior positive terminal. Everything is hooked to it inside the cabin and the relay is under the fender. Only the relay and starter power cable hook up outside.
So to answer your question I would say as long as you have good terminals on your relay it shouldnt hurt.

i just did an alternator test (pull the positive post off the battery) and the car died... so now im not sure what to do. everything else is hooked up as it was before except everythings hidden. so ill probaly rewire it to my starter relay. just want to make sure this is there best(right) way to do it
