Default 1988 GT power door lock problems

I'm having a problem dealing with a very frustrating situation. I replaced my power door lock actuators that I bought from Late-Model Restoration twice. When the car is off the power actuators will only unlock the passenger side. When the car is running both power actuators work perfect. I had the battery checked and the alternator checked and both are fine. What the heck is the problem?

Pull the door latch mechanism out of the car, clean the bejesus out of it with WD40, then a degreaser. While you are cleaning it, make sure you completely clean all the moving parts inside. It's a huge PITA, because it is tight in there, but do the best you can. Make it gleam inside and out. Then lube all the moving parts with a tiny paintbrush and grease-type lube. You have to really take your time and pack it in there, but don't cake it on parts that don't need it. Put it back in the car, start the car and run it through 10 to 15 lock/unlocks. Should work fine after that. If it doesn't, carefully insert a stick of dynamite, light it and stand back. That will free it up.

There is also a ground behind the door panel make sure its clean and tight, mine used to only work sometimes and it was a ground problem. I would do what the above post said as well. You have 25 years of gunk built up

Before you get all crazy... How does the lock feel if you just turn it with the key or unlock and lock it from inside the car? If it's nice and smooth then you probably don't need to gut your latches and all of that and just need to look to electronics or bad replacement parts (I've been down the road of defective replacement parts up to 4x in a row... no reason to believe you couldn't be there as well).
