I guess I figured out that damn racing idle problem.

On a hunch, while it was revving to 2K, I pulled the plug for the IAC, the idle instantly dropped down to normal.

Plug it back in, races back to 2K.

So I put the old IAC back on, the one that I "thought" was bad when I was having idle issues, and BOOM!

Idle is back to normal.

Bad "brand new" POS idle air control valve.

Grrr..........

That happens a lot Raven, since most are made across the pond.

Thanks again everybody.

It's been raining a lot here lately, but I took it out during a couple breaks in the weather we had. Drove it to work and back Thursday, and took it into downtown Houston for lunch and back today (about 20miles each way) and it had absolutely no idle issues on either trip.

This a really good car. Solid, handles good, nice pick up on the freeway, and comfortable to ride in. That 3.08 is a great highway gear. (Although I'm sure I'll eventually put a 3.73 in it)

If it wasn't for the AC not working and the water leaks around the T-tops, it would make a great daily driver.

It's interesting to see how many looks and thumbs up it gets, compared to NONE when I'm in the 2010! LOL

Changed the tail lights out for LX tails.

I think it cleans it up a bit. I kept the GTs in case I ever want to convert it back.

Not a bad deal bud. Not bad at all. Glad to see that someone else still gets as excited about these foxbodys as I do!

Thanks SirMrGeorge, yeah, it's been a blast!

This is my second Foxbody. My '89 was faster, but this one is way more fun! I love popping the T Tops off and cruising, like I did tonight.

Just remember to keep those windows rolled up at high speeds. Those T-tops start to get expensive. Lol
