A couple more updates that I just realized I didn't post yet:
I bought a set of replica '93 Cobra wheels. I haven't put them on and I'm in no hurry to either. Honestly, I love how my '87 looks bone stock with the turbines, but I really love the '93 Cobra wheels too. (I had them on my '89 GT) Eventually I'll put tires on them and have the option to switch them out when I get bored or want to change it up for a bit.
Also, I found a company in Oregon that had a little bit of the red interior cloth left over from the 80s, so I bought it and I'm going to get the rip in the driver's side seat bolster fixed sometime soon. I'll post a before and after pic when I do.

Thanks everybody, yeah, it's fun. It's definitely a cure for boredom, always something to fix, LOL.
I just ordered a driver's side window motor and door lock actuator. The power door lock has never worked since I've owned it, and the window motor is starting to act like it's on its last leg.
I've done both before in my '89, so it shouldn't be a big deal, other than finding time to do it.

How do you deal with going from the 2010 and getting into the 87?
I bought a 2011 6spd, and the second I got home and had to move my 88 out of the garage........I thought there was something wrong with it. It seriously took 2 days of driving the 88 to get even close to used to the feel again.

How do you deal with going from the 2010 and getting into the 87?
I bought a 2011 6spd, and the second I got home and had to move my 88 out of the garage........I thought there was something wrong with it. It seriously took 2 days of driving the 88 to get even close to used to the feel again.

I actually find it harder to get used to the 2010 after the '87 though. The '87 clutch takes so much more force, that when I'm used to driving it for a while, then get back in the 2010, I just about jam the pedal through the floorboard for the first couple of shifts! LOL
One thing for sure, that Tremec in the 2010 is a beautiful thing. Like a hot knife through butter. If I ever do an engine rebuild in the Fox, while the motor is out I'm swapping in a Tremec.
PS, congrats on the 2011! If I had it do over again, I would get white, silver, or that grey you got. Black is a PITA.

Until Friday morning, I had never driven the car when it's really cold, too cold to open the windows a little. It was 36 degrees, and I didn't even make it out of the neighborhood and the windows started fogging up.
I was thinking, uh oh, I might have made a mistake, not really sure if the defrost works in this thing.
Turned on the rear defrost and within about 90 seconds I could tell that it still works!
Turned on the defrost for the windshield, not knowing if the blend selector even worked, but it does!
Not bad for a 28 year old American car.

my blend selector is stuck in the defrost position so I don't have to worry about that. Mine is staying in the garage or just outside to run for this winter. Streets have been salted.
