93 GT quick easy bolt on performance

The best option for these cars is to upgrade the gears to 3.73 or 4.10.
They don't give you more horsepower but they give the available horse power a good swift kick in the rear. If you have the stock 2.73 or 3.08 gears jumping up to 3.73 or 4.10 will feel like you added a ton of power.

Like said before, start with gears first. 3.73 is a great gear IMO (2k RPM 5th gear @ 70mph), so highway mileage isn't gutted if you're running the T-5 trans.
If you're running an auto, I'd personally go with 4.10's.
After gears, get subframe connectors (weld-in preferred -- but you can get the bolt in ones and still weld those), lowering springs, new struts/shocks, and tubular rear upper/lower control arms.
Once those mods are obtained, the car will feel MUCH tighter, which is ideal when you want to go ***** deep on engine mods.
Don't forget to check the front lower ball joints as well while you're doing your suspension stuff!

I have a 93 LX so I can relate exactly to what your looking for. When i was building my fox, I basically went the order that you have went in and my next step was 4.10 gears (auto trans here) and boy did it wake up the car. Night and day difference. Good Luck!!

93-Josh-LX, do you still like your set-up? I am saving up for new gears first, with the hopes of dropping the AOD-anchor in a few years and adding a third pedal, and am wondering if I should go with 3.73 or 4.10 to replace the stock 2.73 in my 93 LX.
Boski032-did you go with the 4.10 and how if so, how do you like it?
I'm not the most mechanically inclined, so I'll be relying on a friend of a friend (who is a mechanic and does side jobs) to do the install while I assist, watch and learn. I've asked a few other friends for advice and have been told that 3.73's were too much and to go with 3.55's, which is contrary to everything I have read here. That being said, I've decided to defer to the experts/those with more experience, and am grateful for any advice and information you can provide.

I'll reply for the two other guys since we'll never hear from either one of them again. 3.73 are awesome. 4.10s are more awesome. Since you have the install covered the cost of a ring and pinion plus install kit can't be beat for seat of the pants feel.

So, more awesome it will be! Thank you for the info and advice, Bluebeast!
