When I start the car up 1st thing in the morning or after it has sat for more than a 6 or so hrs I have a hard time keeping a decent idle. I start it and give it a super fast light tap on the gas to keep it running( multiple times) is the only way to keep it from shutting down. I leave for work around 5am so I'm conscience of disturbing the neighbors with multiple starts.

Once she does start and I'm driving it it sounds like a VW Beetle's exhaust (old school VW Beetle) with a slight sputter all through 1 gear, I 1st thought it was from a exhaust leak but since that was fixed it's still doing it.

Both issues are only when the engine is cold 1st start of the day, once I'm at work for a couple of hrs then leave and drive it's fine no starting issues and no sputtering.

No I've owned it just over a year, I'll start gathering parts for a complete tune up.

That's where I'd start also, then pull codes just to see if you have a sensor or switch that's not reading right. ECT sensor ???
