'89 GT A/C issues? Aargh!
Can't take it any more!
Here's the problem: Something with the vacuum system is causing the A/C to blow out the defroster vents while I'm accelerating. It happens as soon as I put the gas pedal down, and about 5-6 seconds after I let the pedal go it will slowly go back to the normal vents.
It happens most when I'm accelerating at low RPMs, like when I have to slow down a little because someone pulled out in front of me, and then start speeding up again in the same gear. If I'm at high revs, like accelerating through second gear above 2500 RPM, it is less noticeable, or sometimes it won't happen at all.
I have checked all my vacuum hoses and everything looks like it is hooked up right and not cracked or anything. What's the deal?
