Default What type/weight gear oil should I use?

I need to change my differential cover gasket and was wondering what you guys use for gear oil? Should I use synthetic that already has friction additive in it? Not sure what weight to use. It's a stock 8.8

75w-90 and a bottle of friction modifier if you don't buy the synthetic with it already in.
