Default Ford Racing aluminum drive shaft hp/torque limit?

Hey guys, latemodelrestoration.com is having a sale on all Ford Racing parts, so I was going to buy a aluminum drive shaft from them. Does anybody know or have any experience with how much hp or torque these drive shafts can handle? I was finally going to take my car to the track for the first time soon, but I wanted to get a new drive shaft first. Obviously there is no black and white answer here, but I just wanted to get an idea.Thoughts?

I have seen lots of cars in the 9s with them I run low 10s with one but I run a auto and it dont hit as hard as a stick but really I dont think you will have issues.unless You are making crazy HP and hooking like a pro stock car.

That's good to know. I'm not planning on taking it to the track more than a few times per year, and my car will never have more than 450 hp even if all my dreams come true. I just wanted to make sure it was strong enough for that. I have not heard anything bad about them, so it seems like a good buy.

I made around 400 on mine for a few years. About to roll out the latest build, which should be in the 600 area.

hoping it stays together... LOL

OP isn't making enough power to worry about breaking an aluminum driveshaft.
Been putting about 530HP thru one for 4+ years now without a problem......

Sweet. Thank you for all of your responses guys! It didn't have a single bad review, so I figured it was probably good. I put it in on Saturday and noticed a big difference in how smooth it is at highway speeds! Very nice. As far as acceleration difference.... placebo or maybe a SLIGHTLY better acceleration, but nothing to jump up and down about. It makes me feel a lot better knowing that I have a strong drive shaft in (that is not 21 years old) and it's balanced so I know I'm not doing any damage to my transmission. I'd say just based on that fact alone, it's worth it for sure.
