Default Is this a good price for new gt40x heads?

Hey everyone, Quick question and hopefully I can get a quick answer. I found gt40X 58CC heads brand new in the box factory assembled for $600

I'm just looking to make a street car out of it. So the combo would end up being a stock 87 bottom end gt40x heads and cobra intake

Thanks

It depends,

What brand are they? If they are ford racing heads then yes that is a good price. Or even ford motorsport.

If they are just some cheap no name heads then I would be leery of them...
It also depends on what springs , valves and guides were used to put them together.

If they came from ford racing they will say x302 or x307 something along that line.
The x302 heads where 64cc , and the x307 heads are 58cc xtra performance heads. And you can buy them direct from ford racing for about 600-700 EACH or 1400 for a pair.

IF there are no manufacture marks on the heads I suspect they are cheap ebay china heads and have very unreliable valve train parts.

If they are in fact x305 , they will have it stamped in the top of the head, and should either say ford racing or ford motor sports on the front. They are usually about $1,000-$1,400 per pair. So I think that if you can get them for 600 its a good deal.

Granted there are better heads out there , but they will cost a lot more as well.

Both heads and RRs is a great deal in my opinion. Especially if they were never ran.
