Default Fuel pump died

The car wont start and I cant hear the fuel pump turning on. I ordered this fuel pump

and was wondering if anyone has any experience installing it. The techs at latemodel resto say it's a direct swap but I don't want any surprises.

You'll be fine, it's not a hard job if everything comes apart nicely. And seeing as your in Cali, no rust to deal with. Good luck, but if you get stuck, just ask your question here, someone should help .

If you can hear the pump running... Have you checked fuel pressure?

Might end up finding out that the hose inside the tank has failed.

It's not hard but I hate doing it because my grand am and my Silverado both had the fuel pump just suddenly quit on me

KOEO= Key On Engine Off

Search this forum or Google on pulling codes from the computer. If this is your first time, you'll need to know how. Very simple to do, and helps a lot in tracking down problems

key on engine off, for efi applications, power should be on the positive lead for 2 sec when key is switched on, then power is removed from relay if PIP is not seen/cranking
