Royal purple gear oil

Default Royal purple gear oil

Was just wondering if you guys think royal purple is really worth the money...havnt heard much about it

Personal preference....... Some say it saved their motor, some say it's just purple oil.

I think oil is oil as long as its clean.

I use their gear oil, but make sure you do add a bottle of friction modifier even though they claim it has it already. I use Amsoil for everything else.

total waste of money and is a gimic.............any good synthetic will be fine......infact amsoil outperforms royal purple in almost every test category but don't get the attention because it doesn't have purple dye...lol

Thanks for the replies...If I get a synthetic with friction modifier already in it...should I still add some anyways?

you don't have to but I sometimes do for added protection.......valvoline sells a good synthetic I've used many times

Watch for it in your local parts store, it will be in silver quart bottles. (75w90) or (75w140).
