Default 95 gt idle issues

Anybody want to give me some insight on a problem I'm having? I have a 95 gt with trickflow hci. I can't get this thing to idle right. Timing is at 10 degrees, base idle is at 850rpm (its a tfs stage 2 cam), tps voltage is at .98 MAF is good. IAC works. I'm missing something. Any ideas?

I've searched for threads on this already, and nothing has helped me as of yet.

Edit: The car has an sct chip with a tune. Had to replace intake gaskets since then.

What are you saying when you say it wont idle right? Do you mean it surges, or stalls or idles way too high? There can be different causes for each.

If you did work recently I'd guess you have a vacuum leak somewhere.

The idle hangs when stopping and between shifts. It surges at idle. And it will sometimes stall after stopping. I don't have any vacuum leaks. I've checked, and if you reset the computer it runs a lot better for a short while, then goes back to the crap idle.

When it is acting up does it act OK in every other situation such as WOT or any throttle at all?

Pull the chip and see if the idle smooths out. When you say the chip has a tune, Im assuming it was a canned tune that you got in an email. They always tend to cause idle issues. Probly want to take it to a shop that can tune it specific for that car. They will be able to work every thing out because they tune it to real time data not some mass produced tune that's known to work sometimes.

When driving it's fine. WOT it's fine. Just won't idle. I pull the chip and it won't idle at all. Starts up and then immediately stalls. I know I need to get it dyno'd, but I have to drive it to one first. and I'm in Bowling Green, KY. Nobody real close to me that can, and I really don't wanna drive several hours with my car shutting down at every stop.

Perform a base idle reset, and set the idle so its a little high to keep it from stalling at stops. The hanging Idle may be a problem with the tune that's on the chip it can probly be tuned out some.

If I was you I would pull the chip, then perform a base idle reset so my lowest idle was about 850. Then I would see how it idles and if the hanging between shifts still occurs.

Okay, that's what I'll try. I can deal with the hanging rpm's until I can get it to the dyno, but I need to at least get it to idle somewhat first. I'll report back after I give it a shot.
