Default Need Help

I have a 95 mustang gt. when I first start it up in the morning it runs great, after it gets to 160 degrees it starts acting like its misfiring and a small jerk at steady speeds it keeps coming and going.

Pull codes, then report back with what you find. Sounds like you'll have a couple.

Default without more info...

Sounds like a misfire, possibly as something warms up it expands and doesn't make contact like it should.
Had it happen in an 08 explorer one time, thought it was the trans bucking, turned out to be flaky coil pack on #3

sounds like o2 sensors even my mechanic said it probably was a vacuum leak i had him install them anyway and then my check engine light finally went off and back to normal operation and he said they were the originals never had been replaced I would replace them before you start spending lots of money hunting down the problem it worked for me now my ride has no issues. my advice buy good ones and take them to a shop and ask how much to install after three shops i got mine installed for 20 dollars from a muffler shop.

What ever you do dont start replacing parts just because you read it somewhere on the internet that it might be this or that.

Perform both the KOEO and KOER

For both of these procedures you will need to jump the diagnostic connector with a wire or paperclip or use an anolog VM.
Read this link understand the procedures http://sbftech.com/index.php/topic,2471.0.html
There should be more than enough data there to explain how to perform these tests.

NOTE: Even in cases where the check engine light is not illuminated there can still be stored codes that can lead you to your repairs. And also the Key on engine running test MUST be performed whith the engine at operating tempretures. about 185-190 should put the car into closed loop. If your engine temp is not getting past 160, that may well be the cause of you misfires. The engines just dont run well if they remain in open loop. So even somthing as simple as the engine coolant temp sensor can fail and cause your problems.
