Break in period
#51
Thanks for the info, I am picking my 2015 up next week and wanted to know ahead of time.
For reference, the Z51 and Z06 Vettes do have a special break-in period; not sure why they need it for dry-sump engines but that is the reason they give. You have to keep it under 3500 RPM for 500 miles, then have the oil changed. No track days until 1500 miles.

You have made a great choice in sports cars, as you know I have a black 15 GT and I am loving it, the best car I have ever owned bar none. My GT has the optional 3:55 rear sets and came with the automatic with paddle shifters. So far I have added a BAMA 93 octane race tune to the computer that is worth 30 HP alone.
Also have the Airaid cold air intake kit, and an off road "resonator delete X-pipe" and Roush axel back exhaust. Around 470-475 BHP @ 6500 rpm By the way red line is 7250 rpm's for the latest GT also has the Boss 302 Valves and bigger cam's than the Boss 302 had.
The intake manifold is also larger than the 2012/2013 Boss intake was. Yet the Boss 302 put down 444 HP as compared to 435 HP factory rating for the 15 GT. It is in the air/fuel ratio in the computer and timing that has it 9 HP less than the Boss 302. Also they did not want to dethrone the Boss 302 HP with the 15 GT.
Regardless of which model you choose none of them are slow by any means. The V-6 was my first option as it is faster than my brothers 1998 Cobra. The four cylinder I did not take much notice of because of the sound I could not get passed that buzz saw sound no matter how I tried LOL, Good deal enjoy your new race car WR.
