These issues are widely reported and the number of transmissions that actually present with these issues also seems to be highly variable. I picked up a 2016 GT w/mt last November. It had 6600 miles on it when I took delivery and to date, about 7700 miles down the road, I've had no issues with it. I did have one time very early on when I missed a second to third gear shift. I was driving it "spiritedly" for the first time. I was worried I might have this lockout issue but I've pretty much come to the conclusion that the tranny didn't lock out, I just missed the shift. The only time I've felt any grinding on a shift in any gear has been when I've gotten sloppy with the clutch. I'm not saying these guys aren't having valid problems with their cars, just that there are those who have never had these issues.
