I personally would scrap the semi-metallic OEM pads and go with a Ceramic pad like Akebono. I have never had a set of them squeak and I've installed about 7 sets on various vehicles including two on the current Stang, a set on my old 2000, our 06 Escape, our 2013 VW turbo beetle, and friends cars. They also have near zero dust.

I hear Hawk or EBC pads are a great upgrade to the stock pads but I've never used them so I don't have an opinion on them.
I just might do that, any links to preferred pricing areas?

Now my question is this, can I just get new brakepads even though they are 70-90% wear left?

Or do I need to also have the rotors turned?
Hey bud, I posted about this a while back. I had a 2015 ecoboost PP, and now a 2016 GT PP, both had the worst squeeking brakes I've ever heard.

Anyways, get rid of those factory pads, that's what I ended up doing. What sucked for me, is there were no aftermarket pads for the longest time. I eventually ended up purchasing these from Stage3:

Brembos

Rears

I followed the break in procedure, and these things have been whisper quiet since day 1. Also, there is more pad on these. The factory pads are tapered.

I am having the same issues with my 2016 GT with PP. I started hearing the noise around 9K now it's at 11K. No way should a set of pads wear that quickly. I will upgrade my pads with the website link one of our posters provided. My dealership says the issue isn't covered under warranty. Crooks!!

Only 7 months to reply I usually buy Akebono on Rock Auto . They also have other choices of brakes on there too. I don't see them for the S550 models yet but they do carry Powerstop Ceramics which are also supposed to be really good.
