What is up with the 2015 GT Limited?
I have been looking at a 2015 GT limited and thinking about taking the plunge and buying it. As I have continued my search/research I noticed a number of these cars recently come on the market (True Car, Car Gurus, CarMax), some with very low miles. Does anyone know why this sudden cornucopia of Limited's?...Pete

50th anniversary car...and by the looks of it, just a gimmick:

No idea why you are seeing "so many" but probably because that's the only way ford offered some versions of the car (reference article link above) and some people who initially bought them may have thought the model would hold it's value better than a non-limited when they turned around to sell it a few years later. Not the case given that Ford did a terrible job of marketing the vehicle in that's nothing really special.

Then you could also order any Mustang and get a 50th anniversary upgraded interior and wheels. My guess is what the OP is seeing is a lot of cars that opted to add the 50th anniversary interior and wheels, not the limited edition 50th anniversary Mustang. Most dealers were ordering them for the lot with the appearance package upgrade, so there are a lot of those Mustangs around.

Questions, do all of your friends have different hair color? I figured if you all got together you could take a picture of a rainbow (I kid I kid, I joke with you!)

Super limited is the one where they made 1,964 of them in white and blue.
Limited appearance package = 50th anniversary plaques and badges package
Premium = nothing special but upgraded trim
From what I remember the super limited was ridiculously expensive for a trim package and badging. I have a hard time imagining OP is not confusing the real "Limited" with the appearance package or "premium" if there seems like a large inventory appeared out of nowhere.
The 2015's are coming off the leases now, that's why you're finally seeing a few on the used market.
