Well since your "saying now" that you'll not mod your mustang anymore, you shouldn't be afraid of the 4.10s. Like you said they will help city mpg and highway won't be affected enough to notice. Good luck! You'll be much happier with either the 3.73 or 4.10's

I always look at it like this....

3.73's if you plan to add FI or many mods.

4.10's if you are just adding bolt ons or no mods.


Driving style also has an influence. If you are crusing at 85mph all day, get the 3.73's. If you drive a normal 70mph, then 4.10's are fine.

I love my 3.73 gears. The driveability is great in town and on the highway.
