Aren't the lower speakers 8-inch and the uppers 6 x 9? at least on the premium cars, i have to speakers in each door. The wifes edge has better sound.

the difference is night and day. seriously. it's put off my desire to get a new head unit for a while (ALTHOUGH the stock HU is really bottle necking the sound).

Are there even any after market head units for the 10 with the strange center stack? I don't see why thy coudlnt just add an amp for more power on the stock head, isnt that what the shelby kicker system does?

So, under the idea that you don't want speakers rated at too many watts, what RMS rating is ideal for the Shaker 500 (for both the 5x7s and the 8" subs)?

Not really. You'd have to get a "kit". Metra has one that I'm pretty sure is out already, and Scosche is coming out with one soon. The Scosche one looks way better. These kits will make it a traditional double-din opening so you can add aftermarket head units, gps, etc. There are also wiriing harnesses out there that will let you retain sync control. I'm waiting on the Scosche one to come out and them I'm going for it.
