Default KN Filter

Just to get it confirmed before I order one, the 2010 and 2011 use the same filter right?

when i looked at the motorcraft website to compare filters the 2010 4.6 and 2011 5.0 had the same filter numbers,so im just going to assume the KN would be identical as well

I've used K&N filters in nearly every one of my cars for the past 10-11 years.
But one thing I have found, even in dyno testing, they don't give you much in the way of power.
In my 335i it gave me about 3 rwhp and 3 rwtq.
But the other thing I found was, if the car uses a MAS, the oil from the filter will usually f them up and require a trip to the dealer.

Not sure if the 2011 uses a Mass Airflow Sensor in the intake, but if it does, I'd recommend not putting an oiled filter in there.

The filters are for sale with a few of the sponsors, didn't look to see if the p/n was the same. I ran K&N's on my MAF equipped LSx cars with no issues, BTW.

Its the same air box. I havnt compare the filter to check if the actual element they use is the same. After looking at the 5.0 filter it appears to have extremely deep pleats and an awful lot of surface area. I hope the K&N doesnt lose power like it did in VMP's GT500 Test.
