Default Livernois tuned 5.0 youtube video

Found this on youtube from the info in the video the baseline numbers with 2,000 miles on the car was 391 RWHP / 385 RWTQ.

After tuning the numbers are 415 RWHP / 399 RWTQ

The very first baseline run which is what you see when they first start the video was in 4th gear all the numbers listed above supposedly were done in 5th gear.

So much for the "won't be able to get much more out of the 5.0" remarks...

Yeah tell me about it. Most dyno numbers I have seen are with very low miles so it is nice to see what this motor can do with some break in miles. 415 with just a tune and 2k worth of break in miles is insane.

I can't wait to see what happens when they add a CAI and Stainless works full exhaust.

So how is it that just some computer tweeking can squeeze out close to 25 more hp?

If it were so 'easy' why didn't ford do it from the factory?

I guess what I'm asking is what is the downside to a tune like this? Much worse Gas Mileage??

yes worse mileage on some tunes, customers pay more for insurance, and they make the tune to be conservative so the customer can push it to the limit and itll still be "safe" for the car

A lot of cars are 'detuned' from the factory for daily driving conditions.
The only real downside I can think of is lower gas mileage from using that extra power = lead foot

The only downside I can see is it wasn't 416 RWHP . Seriously I don't see much of a downside if you can control your right foot.

Really can't wait for more mods plus tune results on the new 5.0 it is turning out to be one hell of a motor.

415 is insane... fastest thing I ever drove was a Bentley flying Spur and it wasn't the same kind of power as this but was still intoxicating...

I'm fighting so hard in my head to wait for the pricing to come down on the new 5.0's and just push the accord for another year or so but its hard! lol

I gotta stop hanging out with u folks
