Unhappy Broken suspension

Well I've owned my 2011 GT/CS for a week now. As I'm backing into the driveway at an angle today I hear a loud snap of metal breaking. I get out to find the steel rod connecting the rear sway bar to the axle is laying on the ground broken in half. Glad it's new and under warranty.

Wow. This was simply from the stress of back out of the driveway? You didn't hit anything?

No, I didn't hit anything. I did forget to add that the driveway has about a 25 degree slope that I was backing on to at an angle.

Relax....there's more to this story, steel rods just don't break clean in half, especially the swar bar endlinks.

There's no more to the story, sometimes parts are just defective. I didn't launch it at 6000 RPM with drag slicks, no road course, no hot rodding at all. I was moving just above idle speed, just backing into a sloped driveway at an angle.

Nobody posts on a forum to say "Hey guys, my new 5.0 is behaving exactly like it should and hasn't done anything out of the ordinary in the past two weeks." Because that's boring, and nobody cares. This is why you "only hear horror stories". Calm down! lol
