Sync wont recognize my iphone or usb device via port....

I don't think it is your I-pod. Mine is like 3 or 4 years old. I am pretty sure mine would be considered old as well. Maybe something just came unplugged involving the USB port. Does the Ford Emblem still pop up on your I-pod when you plug it in?

My girlfriend got her new 2010 V6 Premium Vert a few months ago. On the way home the Iphone worked fine with sync. The radio controls actually controlled the songs on it, it charged thru the USB cord, everything worked fine. Now, the usb does not charge the phone, does not allow for music to be played, nothing, nada. At times even the bluetooth does not work. We are talking Iphone 3g, and now Iphone 4
Does this fuse thing help? what about the Mac version of sync seen on the Syncmyride site?
My daughter has a 2010 GT and her usb/iphone work fine.
The morons at the local dealership are saying its the iphone. If so, why did it work fine the first weeK?
Anyone get any fixes on this?
Thanks!

From reading all priors the solution is simple.... get an andriod based OS phone!! I hope that you don't have the new iphone 4 cause this problem would just be another one added to the long list of problems the iphone 4 has had since it has come out.... haha

My iPhone 3G stopped working via USB today. Bluetooth was ok. USB would not even charge the phone. Swapped the cable, and tried another device, no luck.
I read about pulling fuse #3 (Sync). This solved the problem!!! All is well.
I have to say the fuse panel is NOT easy to get to. Besides being under the kick panel it was under 2 layers of sheeth, one of which was taped to the plastic cover. The taped sheeth cover and unusual panel location threw me off a bit.
