GT vs. GT Premium?

I thought Sync was standard as well. My last 3 cars have had full blown navigation, and I actually prefer Sync all alone with no nav better. You can do it while your driving. The Nav after your moving like 5mph locks you out of many of it's features. As for the Shaker 500 Radio.....this is just my opinion......it SUCKS! If the 1000 is anything like the 500 your really getting raped. After I ever find the time to get my windows tinted.....the radio will be my next project.

GT Base does not come with Sync.
As to steering wheel a 2010/2011 18R Package or the 2007-2009 GT500, or 2008-2009 Bullitt Wheel will fit. You need to swap the little lenses in to the wheel from your base wheel to the if you go with the Bullitt or GT500 wheel (they light up different color). I like the Bullitt Wheel as is has basic black stitching (GT500 has red) and looks like the OEM wheel covered in leather. The 18R wheel looks like a 2010+ Premium Wheel minus some functions.
I havnt missed anything I would have gotten in the Premium.

2007 GT Deluxe $25,695 MSRP / $19850 Current Avg Retail / $5845 Loss or 22.75% Loss
2007 GT Premium $26,875 MSRP / $20750 Current Avg Retail / $6125 Loss or 22.79% Loss
I dont expect the Premium to fair as well now that the MSRP Difference is $3200.

Man, why do they carry it over to 40000 + cars? I see commercials with entry level cars and sync then you hit the dealership and see a new stang with a crap cd player wheres the class not to mention dealers buying freekin GT500s with a shaker 500 build. Its enough the savings they are making with having the live rear axle imo

Actually by the time they got through doing everything required to make the live axle meet goals they ended up spending just as much as on an IRS.
Lots of people dont want the extra 50 lb the Shaker 1000 adds to the GT500 especially when many people find it less than saisfactory. More Bass wirh muddy highs doesnt high end make. Now why they dont just make the Competition Package standard is a whole different issue

I would definitely get the premium. We use the sync all the time, it recognizes you cell phone when you get in. Everything is very intuitive as well. Also love the mycolor which give you the cool ambient lighting. I love the leather seats, we've been on a couple of trips now and the seats are very comfortable. If you can afford it, get it.

I've boughten and sold about 40 cars in my two decades+ of driving.
When buying used cars the ones that are optioned up always are more desirable. To the point when selling some of my cars, often people asked if I had the Navigation system. When I told them I didn't they didn't buy.
In the last 2-3 years with compact plug in Nav systems becoming super popular and GPS in phones, that's not as prevalent.
However, I would still get asked, "does it have the 6 CD changer?" "Do you have the Sirius in the car?" "does it have leather?" and many other question asking (and desiring) those options and more.
Often people would ask some of those questions and I'd state it in the AD, but they'd "want to make sure it was correct"
I've never been asked if my car was a "base" or people passed on the sale because I had more options and therefore was asking more for it.
BTW, if you lease a car, the residual value on Premium models (or Limited, etc) are often 1-3% higher than the base models.
You do get your money back on the options (or at least a good portion to most) and in the meantime you also therefore got to enjoy those options for "free" or very little after you end up selling your car for a higher price than what the base (stripped) models sell for.
