I'm one of the guys who went from a '10 to the '11 for the obvious reasons.

That said, Siggy's car is teh hotness.

I'd be pissed if I'd bought an '09...OK, not pissed but I guess I'd be a lot more interested in the '11's.

Not to split hairs but 412 - 315 = 97.

So long as you love your car, thats is what is important. I felt jipped when I bought my M3 and found the same car, same year, in the European model had nearly 80 more hp.

Having said that I am glad that the motor is doing great and your enjoying driving your new car.

I knew the new 5.0s were going to be a nice car...but I honestly dont like the rearends...so I found an 08 Shelby garage queen with 558 miles...paid about the same as a maxed out new 2011 5.0...I did some mods and now run about 550 rwhp...it does take the wind out of the sails of the new 5.0 owners around here...nothing like having those snakes on a car!

You guys should rise to the challenge of stopping comparing decks for a change...

Nothing's wrong with the thread so far but I can feel the BS in the air from both the 4.6 and 5.0 guys.

Newer cars are usually better/more efficient and faster as the previous body style.
If not, the sales would drop.

You can make any car fast nowadays so what's the big fuss?
I mean, I know ugly 4 bangers in my area, that are way faster than the new 5.0.
So because of that, should a 5.0 owner get rid of his Mustang? Yeah right.
Same thing for the 2010 guys... Is this car a POS all of sudden because the new one is faster?
So what happens when the 5.0 owners meet the 2014 faster car in a few?
Suicide?

I bought a 2007 in June of 2007.

I bought a 2011 in May of 2010.

I will likely buy a 2015 in April of 2014. (Thats when I suspect the model to actually arrive).

The basic Roush M90 Blower setup was about $5000 (Comparable power). I decided to pay $6,000 more for a newer car with more refinement, better fit/finish, better suspension, better brakes, better trans, better reliability and a full warranty. $17,000 for my 2007 vs $28,000 for my 2011. If I had been willing to drop another $10,000 I would have bought a left over 2009 GT500.
