Default New pics of 2011 5.0 GT Exhaust

So we weren't 100% happy with the cat-back and x-pipe for the 2011 so we tweaked it and came up with the following. Video of it is in the video section.

So, what is the purpose of all those dimples in the pipes?

It has a chamber in it with fluted cut outs, the crimps go down to the chamber so when the exhaust goes through it buffets around more than just flying straight through. It is a great way to save weight yet still have a nice but not over bearing sound.

I've always learned that crimps, dimples, kinks, ripples, etc. are bad for exhaust systems, and I tend to agree. What is the HP tradeoff/sacrifice for that nice sound? Have you done before and after dyno runs with this system?

So, the X pictures here is not the offroad. Now, if we were to get this one, but one day decide to go cat-less...

On your site, you mention 3" offroad "leads" to make it an offroad X. Can we purchase the leads(only) from you directly, later on?

That tends to be more of a concern when the airflow changes direction in conjunction with the pipe getting smaller due to a crimp.

The losses from dimpling in the straight section are probably not even measurable if existent.

But do you have before and after dyno numbers to prove it?

Sounds good. I will let some of the local 5.0 owners about this system.
