Default Steeda intake/tune installed!

So.... The instructions were crappy, and my SCT was shipped without the Firmware and Tune revisions that allowed it to talk to the car.

After approx 1hr of downloading the firmware/revisions, I installed the intake/tune tonight.
DAMN! It really wakes this thing up! It pulls much stronger, and really pulls on the 1-2 and 2-3 upshifts.
I did notice a bit of idle hang as I let off the gas/clutch after one run, but who knows if that's from the tune, or the drive by wire.
All in all, a great bang for the buck, but there's definately room for improvement.

Congrats! This will probably be a mod for me a little ways down the line. Just a question I have, does the tune improve the throttle response at all with the drive by wire? The stock response isn't bad, but I'm kinda used to the razor sharp response that my old fashioned throttle cable '93 Cobra had.

It feels a bit snappier(?) but it's hard to judge in 105 degree heat.

I made the run last night when it was only 90.

SandMan- I work at Gaudin Ford on Eastern/Sahara if you want to check it out sometime.
Dominant- We only have 91 out here, so that's the tune I'm running. I did make a quick trip to SoCal and back this weekend, and was pleased with how much smoother the throttle responded, and how the car just wants to go.

I like the steeda intake the best because its the only cold air unit that uses the factory air inlet for a direct flow of cold air to it...others rely on air around it.

My mileage around town is a bit less since I like to floor it. I made a trip to SoCal this weekend, and managed 26mpg at 80mph.

Put my steeda CAI and tuner in this weekend. I think I lost a little pedal...I need to give more pedal to get the car moving. No biggie.
