Based on this discussion and talk on the other mustang forums, I went with the GT500 FRPP axle backs...

I had no trouble swapping exhausts on my last Mustang (2009 gt) but I can't seem to get clearance to get the new mufflers onto this car! I have been fighting with them for hours....Do you have to remove that pan hard brace or something? I'd rather not if Its not absolutely necessary.

Any tips would be appreciated!!

Edit: got it! Make no mistake- this axle back is much louder thank stock...after
some idling and gentle revving, i can verify that it sounds mean..not as raw or raspy as the Loudmouth kit I had on my 09...but a more well rounded and better sounding note.

LOVE the looks of the GTA's....i was gonna have them modified to fit my 5.0 but instead ordered the JBA axle backs, they have the same tips as the GTA's...post pics later

I bought a Borla S-type catback used for $700. It is by far the best sounding exhaust for the 2011-2013 5.0 The gt500 also sound nice. I thought about buying gt500 mufflers and then getting the resonators removed and then getting an x-pipe installed to simulate the loudness and the smoothness of the borla s-type. People just dont understand that you cannot make the new 5.0 loud without being raspy unless you have the right mufflers AND an x-pipe (preferably catted)
