Just thought you 5.0 guys might find this interesting. ATI claims to be the first to market and I must say I like the way their setup looks over the

That does look nicer than the other SCs out there which remove the engine cover.

These SCs are flying the face of everything we read . . . the 5.0 rods will not allow boost. It will be interesting to see in coming months how well these engines stand up to boost in reality.

I did read in an article somewhere that the engineers said the rods were the weakest link in the engine. After seeing some numbers that these engines are holding up to, I gotta say that either the engineers were just being overly cautious, or the rest of the engine is just really hella stout.

That Procharger kit looks damn slick, though. Still going to wait to see what Kenne Belle is going to have to offer. Don't care one way or the other about the engine cover...its just a hunk of plastic to me. I mean, I guess it looks kinda cool, but, meh...

now that I traded my 2010 GT for the new 6?
who knows , I put 8,000 into my GT and never had a S/C'r, instead of the loud pipes, besides a short throw maybe they'll make one for the 2011 6 and I'll have queit pipes and just hear the whine under the hood lol

Just got a call from a buddy of mine flogging a new 5.0 w/procharger. Squeezed out 586rwhp, YES!! No typo, 586 at the wheels. There is a small catch though. That was at 15 psi on the stock engine. Obviously the kits will be 7-8 psi for longevity purposes.
Needless to say, he was a bit stoked. Dont know how many pulls were made at that psi, but I'm sure they were kinda worried about the consequences.
