Default DO NOT order a Steeda intake and tune!

Unless you own stock in a tire company or big oil!

Coming home from the gym tonight I hammered it on a side street, she spun through second, and made a chirp into third.

My foot won't stay out of the gas now, as a result, my MPG has gone down, but my SEG has increased!
(**** Eating Grin).

You've been warned.

Eh, screw MPG. Dunno why people think of MPG in a V8 412hp 3600lb car.

Duno why people think they can get good MPG out of anything over 2.2L. You must burn fuel to make power.

Anyone know what the claimed gain is for the intake and tune?

Awesome OP, my Steeda intake and Breenspeed tunes will be here Monday. I can't wait, I have been impatiently waiting for two weeks now. I really look forward to that first blast with the 93 tune. To answer your question Ripper, Brenspeed told me they are seeing on average 40 hp gains and similar torque gains as well.

Do enjoy and our cars are not eco friendly no matter how light we are on the go pedal. Best I can do is 15L per 100 kilometers. Oh roughly 15mpg!

I've never purchased a muscle car for MPG, I was making a tongue in cheek comment. Some folks comment on their great MPG, I'm not one of them.

That said, Steeda claims 44rwhp, but that's going from 87 to 91 with the tune.

I'm thinking 30+ is realistic, I've owned two Vipers, three Vettes, and numerous LSx cars, and this thing really woke up with the intake/tune.
It takes a lot to impress me, and I was.

I don't know. While I know I'm not going to get great MPG with a V8 sports/muscle car, I don't totaly disregard it. While I'm goint to value the power it gets over MPG, the MPG will have some matter in my decision to buy one.

I will definitely be purchasing the Steeda CAI & tune in the future. But first, I am going to test the limits of my 2011 GT in stock form. I want to see how fast I get it to run 1/4-mile in stock form on stock radials. It will probably take a couple of trips to the track to till I can achieve that. Once I'm sure I've reached the best that I can in stock form, I will order it & go back to testing!

Me to but Im going ahead with the tune anyway. It will be at least October before we get good air and flashing back is easy.
