My brother jsut bought pretty much the same 5.0 GT I bought with the exception that I have 19" rims and he has the 18's.

Should his car come with a tower brace connecting the top of the two front struts? The dealer said no because the wheel size didn't require it. But, at the dealership today, there was a 2011, V-6, vert on display that had this brace.

What gives? Did the dealer try to pull a fast one on my brother and do they owe him a brace?

My 2011 GT did NOT come with the strut tower brace.
I "Think" it only comes on the Brembo and the C/S cars.

I have 18 inch wheels on mine.

C/S??? What's this? I know I didn't get the Brembo package on mine.

The STB comes with the 19' wheels on the 5.0. Don't know about the V6.

Does his have leather interior? I believe the brace comes with the premium GTs and premium V6s.

He's got premium everything just like mine (matching interior) and the only difference is the color, rim size and the tower brace.

He may not have the C/S so that could be the reason. I'll have him look up the details and go from there.

Why did it come with the V-6 model that had 18's then? Maybe it was optional.

Yep. Comes with the Premium GT's which includes the 19" 5 spoke wheels, strut tower bar, leather, Sync, and some other stuff.
